WHAT WE OFFER
At McMillan Mastiffs, we use balanced training methods to help your dog overcome obstacles they may face throughout various stages of life. Our Dog School program is tailored to meet your dog’s specific needs, providing them with the opportunity to earn a certificate of achievement.
We offer a range of services, including beginner and advanced obedience training, one-on-one private lessons, board-and-train programs, and behaviour modification for reactivity and/or aggression.
OUR GOAL
At McMillan Mastiffs, our top priority is building a trusting relationship between you and your dog through patience, consistency, and confidence. Just like people, every dog is unique, so we tailor our training methods to meet their specific needs.
Your dog will be trained and socialized in various settings to help them feel comfortable in unfamiliar environments.
TRAINING PROGRAMS
PUPPY SCHOOL
Our First 6 Months Program is designed to guide you and your puppy through the most important stage of their development.
Over 16 weeks, you’ll learn how to build a strong relationship, prevent common behavioural problems before they begin, and develop the obedience, confidence, and social skills needed to raise a well-mannered companion for life.
DOG SCHOOL
This monthly program is ideal for new pet owners or dogs entering adolescence. Similar to private sessions, it focuses on developing your dog’s behaviour both inside and outside the home.

BOARD & TRAIN
In our in-home board and train program, your dog will experience a variety of scenarios both outdoors and within a home environment. They will be trained and socialized in different settings to help them feel comfortable in unfamiliar surroundings. For dogs boarding for four weeks or longer, grooming services are included.
PRIVATE SESSIONS
In these one-on-one sessions, we focus on the specific needs of your dog. Training sessions take place in high-traffic areas, such as dog parks, where we find training to be most effective and dogs most receptive.
At McMillan Mastiffs, we educate you on how your dog thinks, helping to prevent or resolve behavioural issues. We achieve this by teaching your dog how to positively interact with you, other dogs, family members, and friends.
