About Us

At McMillan Mastiffs, we focus on guiding you on how to achieve a well-mannered dog at home and in public. We consider obedience to be crucial in the process.

– Alyx Mcmillan, Lead Trainer

Alyx McMillan, the owner and founder of McMillan Mastiffs, has been training dogs since his early teens. His first two dogs, a Chow Chow-German Shepherd mix, inspired him to teach others how to understand and meet their dog’s needs. When Alyx isn’t training, grooming, or caring for a litter, he spends his time working with his Cane Corsos and Rottweilers.

OUR GOALS

At McMillan Mastiffs, we believe in setting goals. We begin by teaching you how to build a healthy relationship with your dog through respect, patience, and confidence. Our focus is on guiding you to achieve a well-mannered dog, both at home and in public, with obedience as a key part of the process.

We take pride in knowing that our system works when you are committed to putting in the time and effort for your dog’s success. Dogs of any age or size—whether purchased as a puppy or adopted as an adult—all have the potential to become amazing additions to your family.

We are confident that after working with us, you will understand how to properly socialize your dog, maintain obedience, and fully enjoy the companionship they bring.

When we first met Alyx, Mocha was horrible on leash, constantly pulling towards other dogs, people, and random things on the ground. At the point when we started training with Alyx, Mocha was lunging at other dogs & jumping up on people. If you're anything like me you are looking at these reviews to make sure your sending your baby to the best. I brought in Jade to Alyx  for pulling, bad car manners, reactive to motorcycles/skateboards, and she was getting way too excited with new faces and dogs. I'm so grateful for Alyx. Not only was he patient with my rottie but he taught me patience and showed me how to remain confident while training my dog. My family is completely blown away by the amazing work he has done with our pup and what he has taught us. Highly recommend!

McMillan Mastiffs requires at least 48 hours’ advance notice for scheduling appointments.

McMillan Mastiffs requires all payments to be made in full at the time of booking, with the exception of the board & train programs. HST will be added to all transactions.

All dogs are welcome at McMillan Mastiffs.
