Amazing trainer. We rescued our Rottweiler, Vegeta from Peru, he's been in Canada for just over a month. He is very friendly with people, but not too friendly with other dogs. In Peru, he wasn't really socialized, and because there are a lot of street dogs, his instinct was always on the defensive. We have a female Rottweiler and he didn't get along with her. In just 3 weeks, Alyx has made so much progress with Vegeta, he's like a new dog. There are still a lot of training to do, but the foundation has been placed. I recommend this trainer, he's really experienced and knowledgeable.
Absolutely the best trainer in Ontario, he made training our Rottweiler a walk in the park! (Pun intended) All around wholesome dude, he shoots straight and he takes his time in teaching you different methods and helps you through it, every step of the way. Will be bringing every future pup to him for further training!

Alyx is very knowledgeable, calming and thorough with everything he does. He steps through everything at just the right pace and is very supportive before and after every training session . We went on vacation for 10 days and he took our dog into his own home for 10 days for in house training which has been a game changer. 24/7 and lifetime support is what you get with McMillan Mastiffs. I recently purchased a registered Corso puppy from McMillan Mastiffs and I am so happy with our decision. Not only is Alyx an amazing advocate for the breed, but his hands on approach with the puppies, while they were in his care, and now in their forever homes has been impeccable! I’ve never had a large breed before in my life because I was afraid of not giving the dog the correct training. We decide to get a dog with McMillan Mastiff and is the best decision I ever took. Honestly I’m not worried about anymore of giving my corso the wrong tools to become him an amazing dog because Alyx is always there for us. He is taking care of the puppies 24/7 even nowing they have a good home, if you have any doubt about something he’s there for you always.

I bought a track suit from McMilan Mastiffs, and I LOVE ❤️ IT. It is comfortable and fits perfectly. For the price it is worth the quality! If you are considering buying a track suit from this company! I highly recommend it!
As far as training goes, my dogs are still in the process of being trained. They went from being aggressive with each other, dragging me down the street like in a comedy show, eating my food on the counter when I'm not looking, and battling their own confidence to walking beside me loose leash, obeying commands, reduced fighting between each other and all in the span of 2 sessions! I was in utter amazement at the results from just simply following instructions and being consistent. I feel like I already have two brand new dogs, that respect me and knows who is boss! Thank you Alyx!

Dash, Blue and myself can’t say enough great things about Alyx and his approach with training. He showed us all what our potential could be and most importantly, he trained me on how to be my dog’s best friend 😃🐶🐶 I’ve had a number of 4 legged friends but not 2 puppies and litter mates just to add to the challenge plus Covid restrictions. I was struggling alot being a 1st time Rottweiler owner and needed some guidance with obedience, off leash and relationship building with my Jade. Not only was Alyx flexible with my schedule, he was non judgemental and showed patience and compassion while showing me and teaching me how to appropriately address these issues. Alyx is a fantastic trainer and definitely has a way with dogs! Ella did his dog school program and I’m so pleased with her results. His programs are catered to your dogs specific needs/issues. In my case, Ella was afraid of the car, which limited the places I could take her. She also lacked impulse control and pulled on the leash around other dogs or people. Needless to say, she would drag me around in a pet store! He’s resolved these issues and more! Alyx is generous with his time and knowledge, and the sessions were fun for both me and my dog. I can’t thank him enough and would highly recommend him to others!
Great people and great boarding and training program. I had my 1 year bully with them for 3 weeks and when she got back I could see huge improvements. Great program for my dog and myself, lots of knowledge to spread and even after the boarding and training was over I still get follow ups and tips from Alyx. Highly recommended if you want to see better changes with your doggo, definitely will be seeing them again.
After having a tough time with our 1.5 year old puppy, we reached out to Alyx after hearing amazing reviews. We are so happy we found him and went ahead with his training program - we went from challenging to walk to walking through crowded stores in just a few weeks. Alyx at McMillan Mastiffs helped train our almost 2 year old GSD. We put him in a 1 week board and train and wow what a difference when we got our pup back. We’re now able to walk him off leash and walk past distractions with ease. He is overall just a more calm dog now. It was so important for us to know he was in good hands while away for the week and Alyx kept us updated each and everyday. Throughout the day we would get phone calls, messages and lots of videos of his progress. We’re so happy we found Alyx. We highly recommend Alyx for all your dog training needs!
Alyx is an amazing trainer to work with and know personally. He is honest with his clients and cares for your dogs as if they are his own. Alyx helps shelter dogs in need of training to give them a better opportunity at getting adopted. I highly recommend Alyx as a trainer as well as a board and train.
